This 11-page I and me pack for 1st grade and ESL/EFL students practises the two pronouns children use to talk about themselves, including the polite order "Dad and I" and "my brother and me". Page 1 teaches the rule. Two example boxes show I as the doer ("I like to eat bananas") and me after an action word ("Lucy dances with me"), then show the naming-yourself-last pattern: "Glen and I are playing games" and "Dad gave toys to Jude and me". Students circle I or me in 4 sentences, such as "Susan and (I, me) like to drink soda", and rewrite each one on a line. Pages 2–11 are ten short stories, one per page, with every I and me left blank: The Dragon in the Park, The Pancake Problem, My Cat Wants to Fly, The Mystery Box, The Very Hungry Duck, Backward Day, The Moon in the Garden, A Pirate's Lunch, The Little Robot and The Secret Door. Each story is three short paragraphs told by a child, so the blanks fall in natural places ("Mom gave ___ a big bowl", "My brother and ___ opened it slowly"). Students fill in the pronouns, then draw the story in the box below. Each page has a black-and-white picture that can be coloured in. There is no answer key or word bank. The stories use American spelling (Mom).
