Object Pronouns Worksheets | Me, Him, Her, It, Us, Them | 1st Grade Grammar ESL
Ribbit — ESL/EFL Worksheet Resource
This 11-page object pronouns pack for 1st grade and ESL/EFL students practises me, him, her, it, us and them, the pronouns that come after an action word or after to, for or with. Page 1 teaches the rule. A box sets the object pronouns beside the rule, and two examples show a noun being swapped out: "Lucy gave Tim a card" becomes "Lucy gave him a card", and "Can we visit our friends tomorrow?" becomes "Can we visit them tomorrow?". Students then match 4 nouns to the right pronoun (the pencil → it, Glen and Rhys → them) and rewrite 4 sentences, replacing an underlined noun with an object pronoun. Pages 2–11 all follow one layout. Students read 5 short sentences, circle the object pronoun and copy the sentence on the line below, then write and draw a sentence of their own in the box at the bottom. That makes 50 practice sentences, such as "We sit beside him at lunch" and "The teacher called us first". Some sentences also use you as an object. The pages have no answer key, word bank or teacher notes. It is a straight set of practice pages.
