Question Mark Worksheets | Rewrite Questions and Statements with End Marks | 1st Grade Grammar

Ribbit — ESL/EFL Worksheet Resource

These 10 question mark worksheets have 1st graders rewrite 50 lower-case sentences with a capital letter and the right end mark, first with questions only and then with questions and statements mixed. On the first pages, a reminder box explains that question marks tell us a sentence is a question and go at the end ("Can you tie your shoe?", "Is that a snail?"). Children rewrite five questions such as "where is the brown dog" and "did you feed the fish", then write a question of their own. The later pages mix questions and statements into a mini conversation, for example "do you have a dog", "i have a small brown dog", "my dog likes to run fast". Children decide whether each line needs a question mark or a full stop, then draw a picture (their favourite animal, pizza, school or summer) and write a question someone might ask about it.
