Ribbit — ESL/EFL Worksheet Resource

This 20-page punctuation review pack rotates two page types: ending punctuation pages, and comma pages that finish with a possessive-noun check. It suits 1st and 2nd graders who have met full stops, question marks, exclamation marks and commas and need mixed practice. On the end-mark pages, children read six sentences with the final mark missing ("Do tigers hunt at night_", "Watch out for that huge spider_"), colour the right symbol from a choice of question mark, exclamation mark and full stop, rewrite the sentence, then write one statement, one exclamation and one question of their own. On the comma pages, children add commas to six sentences with dates ("Max was born on July 15 2019.") and lists ("I need a pencil ruler and eraser."), then circle the correctly written possessive in four pairs such as Sam's skates and Sams skates. Themes include animals, sport, sea life and a monster set with Growl's glove and Slimy's slime. What's Included: • 20 printable worksheet pages • End-mark pages with colour, rewrite and write-your-own tasks • Comma pages for dates and lists • Possessive-noun circle tasks Skills Practised: • Choosing the right end mark • Commas in dates and lists of three • Apostrophes in singular possessive nouns • Writing statements, exclamations and questions Perfect for: • End-of-unit punctuation review • 2nd grade test preparation • Older ESL learners catching up on punctuation
