This 31-page CVC sentence scramble has a full-colour picture card for each of 31 short decodable sentences, with the words of the sentence printed in jumbled boxes to cut out and put back in order. Every sentence is built mostly from short vowel CVC words: "A man got a cab.", "A fan is in a van.", "Ben's pet got wet.", "A big pig digs in mud.", "Let's mix six eggs.", "Bob got a job.", "The red pot is hot." and "A dog sits on a log." The sentences run through all five short vowels, and the full sentence is printed on the card so children can check their own order. The pages are landscape. Children cut out the four to six word boxes, arrange them under the picture, read the sentence aloud and glue or copy it. Laminated, the cards make a reusable literacy centre.
