Weather Reading Comprehension Passages | 5 Short Stories with Questions | 1st-4th Grade ESL

Ribbit — ESL/EFL Worksheet Resource

A 5-page set of weather-themed reading comprehension passages. Each page has one short story and 3 questions with lines for answers, and the stories are written for early readers and ESL/EFL students. The five stories each cover a different kind of weather. In "Ted's Wet Day", Ted is sad about the rain until his mum gives him a raincoat. "Fun in the Sun" is a sunny day of playing in the yard, "A Snow Day" is about school being closed for snow, "It's too windy!" is a walk on a very windy day, and in "I Don't Like Storms", children stay inside during a thunderstorm and then play in the puddles. The questions mix finding facts ("What color was the sky?") with simple why questions ("Why was Ted able to play in the rain?").
