Both boards are A3 landscape with nine squares across and six rows, a Start square at bottom left, a Goal square at top right, and colourful snakes and ladders in between. The letter board mixes upper and lowercase letters, so players name each letter they land on. The picture board fills squares with objects and animals, including an ant, an elephant, a rainbow, an octopus, a kite, a zebra and a penguin, so players name the word instead.
