This 26-page pencil control book is the first in a set of three and starts with the simplest strokes: straight lines between two matching pictures, then curves, U shapes, zigzags and square paths. The early pages are columns and rows of lanes with a picture at each end (frogs, bees, butterflies, ants, pineapples), and children draw a line from one to the other without touching the sides. Later pages move to wide tracks to follow: rainbow arcs, a circle around a cat with a ball of wool, U shapes, a rectangle around a fish tank, V shapes and zigzags. Most pages say "Draw a line. Use 3 colors.", so each track is gone over three times. Pages are landscape and black and white. The lanes are wide, which suits children who are just learning to hold a pencil.
