Would You Rather Writing Prompts | 20 Opinion Writing Worksheets with Questions | 3rd-5th Grade

Ribbit — ESL/EFL Worksheet Resource

This 20-page opinion writing pack gives each page a "would you rather" choice, five thinking questions and space to draw and write, so students plan their reasons before they argue for a side. The 20 choices are Big Family or Small Family, City School or Country School, Shared Room or Your Own Room, Walk to School or Ride the Bus, School Uniform or Free Clothes, Early Bedtime or Late Bedtime, Big or Small Birthday Party, Hot Weather or Cold Weather, Apartment or House, Homemade Lunch or School Lunch, Mountains or the Beach, Reading Books or Watching Movies, Playing Sports or Making Art, Big City or Small Town, Calling or Texting, Save Money or Spend Money, Stay Home or Go Outside, Summer or Winter Vacation, Working Alone or in Groups, and Morning Person or Night Person. Every page is landscape. The left side lists five numbered questions that push past "because it's fun", for example "Which choice is better for the environment?" or "Can you think of any downsides to staying home or going outside?", with a box to draw the choice. The right side has a line for "Your choice" and about fifteen writing lines. One question on the Working Alone page is missing a word ("What some the benefits…").
